JOB DESCRIPTION

The Investment Analyst will provide analytical support to the WVIMB Investment Officers in managing allocations to cash, fixed income, equity, private markets, and hedge funds. Responsibilities will vary, but may include monitoring portfolio performance, conducting statistical analyses, assembling, and reviewing data, market and investment manager research, building and updating spreadsheet models, acquiring, assembling and normalizing datasets, maintaining investment databases, and producing written reports. These duties are to be completed with input and direction from the WVIMB Investment Officers, and under general oversight of the Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, AND one or more of the following:

• A major emphasis in accounting, finance, economics, engineering, or investments,
• Be enrolled in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter holder program,
• A graduate of an MBA program (or similar advanced degree program) at an accredited college or university with a major emphasis in accounting, finance, economics, or investments,
• Two-three years of fund accounting or auditing,
• Experience at an investment advisor firm, bank investment or trust department, public or private pension system, endowment, foundation, or similar analyst experience.
