WHO We Are:
Self-Help started in 1980 with a focus on economic inequality especially in communities that have faced systemic barriers in building wealth. At the core of what Self-Help does is a drive to create and protect ownership and economic opportunity. Since our founding, we’ve constantly sought to find new ways to pursue greater economic justice: from providing fair and affordable loans, to working with partners to demand that lawmakers change unjust policies.
WHAT You’ll Do:
- Serve on the national Development, Policy and Impact (DPI) Team and aid in the organization’s deposit-raising and stewardship strategies.
- Provide thought partnership and project management support to investor relations, community engagement, and Credit Union branch staff with data entry, reporting and analysis, drafting marketing materials, and crafting impact reports.
- Manage and update the intranet sites for the DPI team and Community Engagement workgroup.
- Prepare proposals and reports for prospective and current depositors and investors.
- Maintain investor and community engagement records and CRM system, namely Salesforce, to capture follow-up actions on prospective investors and partners and track progress toward deposit-raising goals.
- Partner with colleagues on the Marketing and Communications team to create marketing materials and collateral for outreach.
- Coordinate outreach efforts and provide administrative support for events, meetings, and conferences.
WHAT You’ll Need:
- 3 years’ experience in administration, financial services, fundraising, data services and/or other related fields.
- Data manipulation and analysis experience.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Excel, Salesforce or other CRM experience required
- Excellent writing/editing skills.
