Hawker Pacific Aerospace, Sun Valley, CA is seeking a motivated Invoicing Job Cost Specialist II to support its Finance and Accounting department. Selected applicant will be responsible for support Finance for Landing Gear service and operations. This role will ensure that transactions are timely and properly recorded, analyze variances and highlight issues for management action.
The position will be responsible for operation control, including manufacturing accounting, work-order review, and cost analysis. The Invoicing Job Cost Specialist will support month-end close and special projects as requested.
This position will work closely with LDG Operations to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost drivers and variances.
This position may be assigned to one or more departments depending upon the company needs at the time.
Essential Duties
This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. May be assigned some or all duties indicated below depending on job progression level.
- Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
- Evaluate and resolve invoicing issues and follows up with manager or supervisor to ensure that corrections are implemented.
- Analyze landing gear revenue, gross margins, and EBT for profitability.
- Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor margin developments. Research and resolve all issues to ensure Hawker obtains maximum revenue.
- Research and evaluate customer inquiries based on overhaul of the landing gear; communicate all necessary information to Customer Support and directly to the customer.
- Review internal pre-billing reports for correct material coding and catalog prices. Identify all billable parts based on customer contract.
- Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
- Prepare all invoicing data and responsible for all final margins and invoicing prior to review by Senior Management.
- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Recommend changes for future contracts to Marketing and Sales Department based on invoicing experience.
- Develop and provides training for disassembly to ensure material coding of missing parts is accurate and billable.
- Support Engineering with material returns to ensure proper costing, prior to billing completion.
- Support Engineering with technical closures to help improve billing process and efficiency.
- Develop and influences new ideas to improve invoicing process and margins.
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
- Adhere to all the rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Responsibility to work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
- Performs other duties as required by business needs.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 5 - 8 years (Cost accounting related experience in a manufacturing business environment required).
Preferred: Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Landing Gear Experience
Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in finance. Effectively communicate with internal and external business partners. Maintain compliance with organizational Core Values and exhibit Leadership Competencies. Help create, maintain and comply with Finance and Company SOP’s. Ability to create and present ideas or conclusions in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing. Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment. Excellent communication with all levels of the organization. Extensive excel working knowledge including pivot tables required. MS Office working knowledge. Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision and accustomed to work under tight deadlines. Excellent problem solving skills. SAP and Microsoft Access experience strongly preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
