Position Details:

The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transport of program participants for the YMCA. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
1. Daily inspection and recording of bus/van maintenance log.
2. Daily recording of mileage.
3. Reporting any and all vehicle safety concerns to supervisor.
4. Keeping up to date and accurate records.
5. Ensuring the safety of all program participants during transport.
6. Assist in the overall retention and satisfaction of YMCA members through appropriate customer service.
7. Assist in the Annual Campaign fundraising program for the YMCA.
8. Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude with staff, parents and children.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Ability to foster positive staff, parent and child relations.
2. Clear record with no evidence of violations in the last 36 months.
3. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children under the Georgia Department of Labor and YMCA guidelines

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
None required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
1. Meet current DOT Physical Standards
2. Valid and current CDL with P Endorsement.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Savannah, GA 31410: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• passenger driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• CDL (Preferred)
