IT Desktop Support Technician

Dixon Health & Wellness Center


Essential Duties:

  • Responds to incident and request tickets in a timely fashion and documents all activity related to the ticket.
  • Provides laptop and desktop PC support for on- and off-site users with equipment running Windows operating systems, MAC operating systems, as well as thin client (terminal) support.
  • Provides help desk support via phone and email for PC end users, including support of various applications.
  • Completes lifecycle maintenance of PC system images using tools such as Symantec Ghost and Microsoft Sysprep, including image creation/updates and system deployment.
  • Diagnoses and resolves all PC support issues, including but not limited to, hardware failure, operating system errors, software compatibility issues, and network connectivity.
  • Identifies and escalates complex problem reports or service requests to next tier of support as appropriate.
  • Instructs users in the use of personal computers, printers and networks.
  • Assists with setting up teleconferencing communication system.
  • Assists with setting up audio/visual equipment.
  • Assists with setting up meetings and conferences.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. One year technical experience required.

Bilingual Spanish Proficiency: No Proficiency.

Computer Skills: Intermediate - able to customize toolbars, import and insert graphs, embed Excel data, and elaborate reports.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25 %

Physical Demands: Moderate physical exertion or activity.

Work Environment: Office environment.
