Mountain Line Transit Authority is looking for an IT manager to join our team!
The IT Manager works under the supervision of and reports daily to the Assistant Manager of Administration and Marketing and coordinates with the Chief Executive Officer. As the IT Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in the organization. They help determine the IT needs of an organization and are responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements. While major network and server set up will be contracted, this position will be responsible for some of its security, maintenance and monitoring. This position is also responsible for providing route information and updates to our riders through several online channels. Thirdly this position is responsible for the internal collection and management of data.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Minor maintenance and monitoring of internal network and server
2. Manage domains and security certificates
3. Develop and Maintain a Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan
4. Price out and purchase computer equipment for staff
5. Provide daily tech support for staff
6. Provide or arrange tech related training for staff
7. Manage phone system, set up employee phones and troubleshoot any issues
8. Provide route information via General Transit Feed Specifications
9. Provide live ridership data to riders via mobile apps, websites etc.
10. Analyze ridership data for presentation purposes
11. Manage online shopping cart for Grey Line services
12. Manage employee tablets
13. Manage apps for employee tablets
14. Set up and implement data collection system via employee tablets
15. Maintain digital filing systems
16. Fare collection monitoring, evaluation and new option research
17. Collection of online analytical data relating to MLTA website, online tools and social media
18. Set up new employees email, system access, tablets, accounts etc.
19. Set up and monitor security cameras in building and on board revenue service vehicles
Physical Requirements
Employee spends most of the working day in a normal office setting with occasional trips outside of the office environment. Daily conditions include dirt, dust, noise, odors, fumes, and sudden temperature changes due to physical proximity of various office facilities.
Surroundings
Employee spends an average of eight (8) to ten (10) hours per day working indoors and occasionally in a garage environment. Daily conditions encountered includes: noise, dirt, odors, dust, fumes, vibration, and poor lighting. Other conditions vary with seasons and construction related environments.
Qualifications
- Requires a college degree or equivalent education and experience in order to perform daily activities;
- Requires previous experience serving in a self-directed and responsible administrative, or other position of similar experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires good grammatical and writing skills;
- Requires the demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve desired goals and objectives;
- Requires experience using a variety of software applications in an office environment
Desirable Qualifications
- A college degree with additional training and emphasis in Business Administration/Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science or related industry experience.
- Two (2) or more years of experience working in a similar position;
- Familiarity with FTA regulations and requirements.
- Previous experience in the public sector;
- Previous experience in the transportation industry; or transit with knowledge of transit organizations, planning, scheduling, and operations;
- Advanced writing skills;
- Extensive experience using a variety of software applications in an office environment;
- Knowledge of technology procurement and vendor/contract management
