Oak Harbor Freight Lines is seeking highly skilled and experienced AS400/iSeries Programmer/Analyst.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES
- Develop and maintain AS400 programs in RPG, RPG-FREE, CL, ILE, and SQL using latest programming syntax, operations, and services such as service programs, embedded SQL, built-in APIs, and web services.
- Troubleshoot application errors and implement necessary changes
- Maintain COT application and integration programs
- Perform other RPG and CL programming tasks as assigned.
- On-call rotation
- Experience with RPG, CL, ILE programming including embedded SQL and RPGLE (5 years)
- Solid understanding of AS400 IFS and FTP
- Ability to troubleshoot integration errors between business applications.
- Ability to manage multiple requests/projects
- Ability to effectively interact with application vendor support, internal users and management, and with other technical team members.
- Familiarity with transportation and logistics preferred
- Quick learner and ability to work independently
