The IT Sales Desk is a team focused on support customers' requests through formal sales quotes and proposals. The ideal candidate facilitates with obtaining partner pricing, negotiating pricing, creating proposals or quotes, working with the customer to achieve their procurement goals, and always submit before or on the required due date. In addition, contribute towards key strategic initiatives across multiple areas of activity comprised of a broad portfolio of bid and promotional programs.

Responsibilities

  • The Sales Desk facilitates all partner pricing, along with all partner, vendor, and internal bid programs to help the Sales team grow margin and revenue by offering the best and most competitive price to our customers on products carried
  • The Sales Desk applies special pricing scenarios through ongoing communication with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Purchasing, Accounting and Partner representatives
  • The Sales Desk Specialist is required to be proficient in fundamental Bid Desk processes
  • Validate end user eligibility; enter associated costs, calculations, time frames and discounts
  • Prepare and execute rebates and claims for price protection and partner promotional pricing
  • Identify automation opportunities for bids, pricing, and process
  • Regular auditing of system pricing for accuracy and maintenance of expected margin levels
  • Address issues related to bid pricing, processing, and partner pricing as they arise from stakeholders via various communication paths
  • Escalate issues as necessary to the appropriate parties
  • Generate bids manually and/or through automation to support sales profit
  • Process manual adjustments for rebates and commissions including post invoice
  • Document and maintain detailed written procedures/protocols on learned areas of expertise
  • Execute, maintain, and audit data for bids and pricing across multiple operating systems and applications
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
  • Active engagement in special projects as they arise based on the needs of the business
  • Provide Sales with the highest level of service
  • Validate partner data and/or documentation as it pertains to pricing and accuracy
  • Initiate and maintain partner relationships
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives related to increasing bid utilization, productivity, and profitability

Qualifications

  • Minimum -Associates Degree
  • 1 year of Business/Accounting/Finance experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid data entry skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proven track record for meeting/exceeding goals including but not limited to accuracy and productivity in a variety of bid activities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
