Field Service Technician Opportunity

Iron Bow Technologies has an immediate need for an experienced IT Support professional interested in a permanent Tier 3 Field Service Tech position supporting end-users in Richmond, VA

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivery of end user technical support of the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA), by providing exceptional IT support to end users throughout the Midlothian/North Chesterfield area

Position Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for end-to-end IT infrastructure support
• Provide comprehensive and timely resolution of all end user technical issues
• Break/fix software & hardware support such as OEM-certified warranty repairs
• Provide smart hands support for networks, servers and VoIP technologies
• Perform IT asset disposal and maintain accurate asset inventory
• Support end users remotely accessing services via shipping replacement devices or leveraging 3rd party hardware repair (or other form of onsite support as needed)
• Troubleshoot issues involving applications on and off premise (e.g. cloud)
• IT support provided remotely via remote administration tools or desk side
• Onsite support for incidents, service requests and changes as needed (IMAC, break/fix)
• Provide end user device configuration
• Execute application installations, patch and driver update testing and distribution
• Responsible for device, operating system, software and/or application troubleshooting
• System updates and/or restoration activities as necessary

Candidate Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of IT support / help desk experience is highly preferred
• Significant experience performing technical and system analysis and diagnostics
• Candidate should be skilled in the identification and timely resolution of user IT issues
• Proven ability to test, troubleshoot, service and repair end user devices
• Expertise with device, operating system, software and application troubleshooting
• Candidates with Dell, HP, Microsoft, Apple, CompTIA or related IT certifications are encouraged to apply
• Superb customer service and communication (both written and verbal) skills
• High School Diploma (OR equivalent combination of experience & education)
• A valid Virginia driver’s license AND reliable transportation is required
• Must be able to successfully pass background check and obtain a DOC (Department of Corrections) clearance

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
