We are Chubb’s North American Underwriting platform engineering team delivering core Underwriting analysis services across the business units. On our team, you’ll have an opportunity to partner with best-in-class Underwriters of various industry practices, leaders in analytics and advance engineering, and gain insights into the latest risk modelling techniques, directly influencing the Underwriting experience and growth of business.

In this role, you will:
Provide technical leadership to team with design/ code review and in code deployment/ release activities
Design and build scalable risk analysis services; including User interface, micro services , data schema and testing
Work with technology leads in advanced engineering and platform engineering teams to shape technology solutions
Collaborate with analytics team to design data schema, provide training/testing data and operationalize latest Machine Learning models for Commercial Insurance business
Contribute to regular design and development planning sessions and evaluating both existing and emerging technologies, delivering POCs and evaluating needs for service modernization and enhancements

Qualifications

Qualifications:
6+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE/Spring Boot REST API/ microservices design and development experience
6+ yeas of hands-on experience in designing & developing User interfaces in Angular, NodeJs , HTML and CSS
Working knowledge of writing SQL queries in relational databases and in developing Json schema for NOSQL databases such as COSMOS or MongoDB
Working knowledge of Jenkins pipeline and cloud Kubernetes deployment . Experience in Azure cloud is preferred
Exposure to or experience to testing tools/ framework such as Jasmine, Junit, Selenium and REST Assured
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , Engineering or an equivalent

In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $101,000 to $172,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. This range is specific to Jersey City, NJ and may not be applicable to other locations.
