Job description

We are looking for JR Buyer to assist our Director of Purchasing and Inventory in the sourcing and buying of operation and manufacturing supplies for our 3 facilities.

Essential Duties:

• Source and buy required material for multiple facilities
• Expedite open purchase order deliveries with Vendors
• Work with plant and sales to verify delivery dates, meet requirements, adjust purchase orders with vendors accordingly
• Track requirements and inventory to advise managers of status
• Maintain cost savings for steel purchases
• Assure that requisitions are properly prepared and authorized
• other duties as required

Position Requirements:

• Some college preferred
• Computer skills required including experience with MS Office products (proficient with excel)
• Experience with an ERP systems (Epicor or Sage is a plus )

• Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in work flow and constantly changing priorities
• Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
