We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.

The hourly equivalent for this position is $19.04 - $31.02.

10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.

OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job.

Position Highlights
We are hiring a Jury Coordinator (Judicial Services Specialist 3) to join us at the
Josephine County Circuit Court
in Grants Pass, Oregon.
You will determine the number of jurors needed each day for trials, summon the jurors, conduct orientation sessions, coordinate the handling of juror excuse requests, process jury mail and jury-related phone calls, order jury supplies, and ensure that jury-related postage permits are up to date and that the postage account is funded. Additionally, you will participate in Grand Jury orientation, provide attendance records for payroll purposes, and prepare certain orders for the Presiding Judge's signature.
You will also maintain court volunteer programs, prepare mileage reimbursement requests, coordinate the bailiff weekly schedule, and lead the monthly jury and quarterly bailiff meetings.
Lastly, you will serve as the backup docketing clerk when necessary.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidates must have at least two (2) years of responsible, clerical experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.

Occasional before or after-hours work may be required.

Daily contact with public regarding court processes including working with parties involved in civil, family and criminal court cases.

Frequent email, phone, and in-person contact with people facing challenging circumstance who may be frustrated people or experiencing trauma.
