PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for assisting Programming Manager in resolving all technical issues related to district’s data needs. A Junior Programmer - Level I will work to improve department efficiency through the automation of complex tasks as it pertains to district data. Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Associates degree or high-level certification in computer-related field required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Work experience in related field accepted
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to work independently on complex issues.
- Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
- Experience automating tasks using various programming languages.
- Extensive experience with database operations; SQL
Experience:
- One to three plus years in computer-related field required
- Three to five years computer-related experience preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Routine Activities
- Maintain and resolve technical issues related to district data systems.
- Monitor daily server backups.
- Develop custom automation solutions for complex technical issues.
- Document processes and procedures as it relates to automation.
- Perform daily Google Administration for Google Drive & Email.
- Assist with maintaining computer management software.
- Act as secondary support for Clever/Classlink.
- Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner.
- Conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with generally accepted community standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
Professional Growth and Development
- Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
- Demonstrate interest and initiative in professional improvement.
- Develop a programming knowledge base.

- None

- Windows desktops/ laptops, iOS/Android devices, and Chromebooks
- IP Based telephony equipment
- Windows Based Servers
- Google Admin Console
- Various third-party computer and network products and software

- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Work with frequent interruptions
- Occasional prolonged or irregular hours of work
Physical Demands
- Moderate lifting and carrying; 50 pounds
- Intermittent bending and stooping
- Reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, repetitive hand motions
- Prolonged use of computer
Environmental Demands
- Normal computer room environment
- Travel: Minimal in-district
**The State Board for Educator Certification will require all first time applicants for an initial credential to be fingerprinted as part of a national criminal background check. A cost of up to $49. 00 will be charged for fingerprinting.
