Job description

Position Concept:

Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation of animal housing areas of the shelter facilities, as well as monitoring the overall physical and mental well-being of shelter animals. This position helps ensure that all of the kennel areas are clean, sanitary, safe and maintained. This position's number one task is to complete the daily care of all animals in our care, and that animal health and well being is the number one priority.

Objectives of this Role:

• To complete daily routine cleaning of the animal housing areas of the shelter, by following the appropriate Standard Operating Procedure.
• Execution of daily enrichment for both dogs and cats.
• Daily observation of animals in our care, this includes feeding, exercising, medications and enrichment.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma,1-3 years animal handling experience.

Required Skills:

Able to stand/ walk for 8 hours, bend down and stay in crouched position for extended time, climb a step ladder, lift and carry 50 lbs, work in high stress environments, work in loud areas for extended periods, withstand strong odors.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
