Bluemont Vineyard in Stonewall, TX is looking for one kitchen manager to join our 12 person strong team. We are located on 662 Woodrose Ln.

Position Overview

• What we are looking for: We are seeking a motivated person who wants to grow with our winery. We seek a go-getter who isn’t afraid to build new relationships, has a heart of hospitality and loves to create & plate in a wine and culinary space. Ability to problem solve independently, attentive to detail, good communication skills and desire to launch a new culinary and wine program is huge. A friendly, positive attitude and honesty is a must. Any additional skills you bring are welcome!

  This is a full-time opportunity focused on Thursdays-Mondays.

  As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for creating simple and satisfying menus to complement our wines and experiences. Collaborating with the leadership team on pairing foods with wines, building locally sourced supplier relationships, and establishing & leading kitchen operations, including product quality, food preparation procedures, labor management, inventory control, and adherence to all sanitation requirements

Responsibilities

*Collaborate as part of the leadership team to create wine-tasting and culinary experiences. *Lead the art of designing menus composed of local & fresh elements to be artfully arranged yet easily executed for maximum guest satisfaction. *Guide the culinary team to take pride in food stations, cleaning food preparation equipment and work areas according to health and safety guidelines. *Collaborate with the team to establish workflows and continuously improve the guest experience. *Maintains and stocks designated stations, freezers, refrigerators and storeroom with food products daily: follows proper rotation system and *Set the team up for success by opening & closing the kitchen daily with consistent processes and procedures *Identify & implement creative solutions to increase efficiency and team productivity and satisfaction in delivering great customer experiences. *Comply with safety guidelines and minimum age requirements when handling food & kitchen equipment

Qualifications/Experience:

*At least 3-5 years of working in hospitality kitchens *A seasoned professional with experience in the food preparation and hospitality industry *Wine & catering experience is a plus. *Thrive in an environment that is team-based and fast-paced. *Quick decision-making skills *Ability to demonstrate safe food handling knowledge (Current ServSafe or comparable Certificate) *Ability to communicate at all levels, provide instruction and train other team members *Passion for customer service and satisfaction *Available to work weekends *
• Ability to work on your feet for most of the day and carry a case of wine (40 lbs) from storage to the tasting room on occasion.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays, Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Compensation depends on your experience.
