Summary
The Kitchen Utility Worker is a position within the Food and Beverage Outlets that maintains the work areas, cleans the restaurant equipment and utensils. The Kitchen Utility Worker is also responsible for stocking and assisting with the general maintenance of the outlets.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
  • Maintains kitchen sanitation in accordance with all health department guidelines. Maintains safe food handling procedures at all times.
  • Washes buffet, restaurant and banquet items, including but not limited to, silverware, dishes, cooking utensils, equipment and displays.
  • Regularly maintains and is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen floors by sweeping, mopping, and ensuring that kitchen area is safe and free of debris.
  • Regularly empties and is responsible for all trash receptacles, and for replacing liners in trash receptacles.
  • Responsible for simple maintenance of dishwashing machines and compartment sinks to ensure proper working order.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of food speed racks, food bins, dry storage racks and orderliness of chemical storage room.
  • Able to assist culinary team in receiving and putting away orders.
  • May be assigned to simple food preparation tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Preference given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission non-key license.

  • Ability to work in areas with extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.
  • Physical ability to safely perform the essential job functions of the position.
