The Sanitary Board of the City of Charleston, WV (CSB) is a municipal sewer utility serving Charleston and adjacent areas of Kanawha County, WV.

General Description

The Charleston Sanitary Board is seeking a Laboratory Analyst for its State certified wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) laboratory.

Essential Duties:

· Perform all laboratory testing for CSB NPDES permit and in-house process control.

· Operate and maintain the CSB’s laboratory, per State certification requirements.

· Compile data and complete all required Federal and State reports for CSB’s wastewater effluent and sewage sludge.

· Maintain detailed lab records, compliance reports and all other required documents.

· Maintain all lab equipment and facilities.

Experience and Education:

· Two years of hands-on laboratory work experience preferred.

· Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology or Science is preferred.

· West Virginia Environmental Training Center Laboratory Technician Certification will be required within CSB specified time frame (if not already certified).

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
