Summary: EMI Services is searching for a Laborer, to support the PAX Naval Air Station, in Patuxent River, MD. The Laborer performs tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience. The following tasks are typical of this occupation; Loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances; moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand trucks; stacks materials for storage or binning; collects refuse and salvageable materials. Digs, fills and tamps earth excavations; levels ground using pick, shovel tamper and rake; shovels concrete and snow; cleans culverts and ditches, Moves and arranges heavy equipment and appliances; moves heavy pieces of automotive, medical engineering, and other types of machinery and equipment. Supports higher level craftsmen and performs simple tasks as assigned.

Essential Job Functions: (not limited to duties as described - performs related duties as requested)

• Most possess good customer relation skills to effectively provide assistance to company and customer representatives.
• Must be able to respond to after hour calls and work requirements
• Must cooperate and support the projects applicable ISO Quality and Environmental programs
• Must be in and remain in the appropriate physical condition to meet the OSHA lifting requirements of 50 pds;
• Must become familiar with and conform to all Project policies.

Education & Experience: (or equivalent) High School Diploma or equivalent; No experience necessary. Craft experience desired. Knowledge of basic hand tools.

License & Certifications:

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Knowledge & Skills:

Ability to perform heavy physical labor
