Job Description:

Our in-house Landscape crew manage all of the grounds assets for our large and well-cared-for community.

• Work involves performing arduous manual labor, often under unfavorable conditions.
• Work includes the responsibility for the safe and proper use of standard landscape and nursery equipment, hand tools, light power driven equipment, trucks and other landscape-oriented equipment.
• Performs semi-skilled manual labor in the removal and installation of landscaping.
• Duties include but are not limited to; potting plants, installing and removing landscape material and caring for the nursery stock.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment consumables, i.e. fuel, oil, grease and the like.
• Comply with worksite safety issues and rules.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Previous experience in the use of standard landscape and nursery equipment, hand tools, operation of light power-driven equipment and other landscape oriented vehicles.
• Ability to acquire knowledge and proficiency in the use of common hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written direction.
• Skill in verbal communication.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.

Additional:

The candidate should have reliable transportation (no motorcycles allowed) with a valid and current Florida Drivers License.
