East End Group is one of the largest Exterior Maintenance companies in the Tri-State area. With over 200 Employees and 4 Branches, we offer a wide variety of Jobs that would include working in the following areas: irrigation, fertilizer and control products, nursery goods, hardscapes, landscape lighting, drainage and erosion control, lawn maintenance, snow removal, tree work and other landscaping and snow related jobs.
The Landscape Foreman will be responsible for help managing commercial landscape maintenance accounts and crews.
You’d Be Responsible For
- Work Directly with Landscape Ops Manager
- Conducting weekly job site inspections
- Completing job site checklist
- Installation of required materials for landscaping/irrigation/site development
- Scheduling delivery of materials and equipment
- Crews’ production rates, quality control and safety
- Assisting in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
- Ensuring that all employees are attending the weekly tailgate meeting
- Confirming that all employees are operating safely at all times including reviewing potential traffic hazards; performing hard hat checks and safety gear checks; underground alert reviews; other trades hazard review and performing general public safety checks
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Driven team leader, with a people first mentality.
- Excellent communication, organizational and record keeping skills,
- Detail orientated with ability to focus on multiple tasks at once
- Safety focused willing to always hold your people accountable.
- Verifiable work experience in a Crew foreman or lead role in the Landscape/Snow Industry (min 3-5 years’ experience)
- Understand and able to understand all aspects of Landscape, Lawn Maintenance Snow Removal and Tree work.
- Strong analytic skills, able to assess and manage quickly and with confidence.
- Strong knowledge of the NJ Market
- Always willing to help improve crew operational processes and best practices
- Understand and Abide by all Laws and Regulations, including but not limited to OSHA, local, state, and federal guidelines
- Work with Leadership Team to identify potential business growth opportunities
- Experience with Planning/Scheduling with crews and Clients for routine and Extra work
- Familiarity with procurement of supplies, PPE and equipment needed for crews
- Ability to use Technology driven systems including Microsoft office, word and excel
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass Background Check
- Must be willing to travel and work long hours for projects when asked
- We self-perform snow and require our leaders to be on call 24/7 during snow season!
