Position Purpose: Daily operating of lasers to achieve a quality product and maintain company production standards of 95% or better daily efficiency rate.

Responsibilities/ Duties/ Functions/Tasks:

• Able to properly perform daily operations with minimal supervision.
• Operate high precision laser engraving machines efficiently
• Ensure required Work Instructions / Standard Operating Procedures are followed daily.
• Ensure production logs are filled out properly and in full and turned into its specific location.
• Ensure 6’s implementation is sustained daily. Everything has its own place.
• Operate Scales, Calipers, Laser Cutting Equipment, Basic hand tools, PLCs, Microscope & IM (Instant Measure Machine)
• Assure all quality checks are completed and documented properly on the production specs log.
• General troubleshooting competency to ensure and maintain quality lasered wicks throughout shift work (Scaling lasers/ Cleaning lenses)
• Assure only 100% acceptable quality product leaves the production/process area.
• Must maintain company production rate standards of 95% efficiency or above daily while moving at a consistent pace for a 12 hr. shift
• Ensure completed wicks are identified properly on each tote and the proper paperwork is present before sending to the processing area.
• Must keep all equipment clean. Whole outer shell of each laser must be cleaned each day, per shift. Trays must be dumped each day, per shift.
• Must maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization within our operation daily.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by your Facilitator, Operations Leader, or Manager to meet business needs.
• Able to memorize fire prevention protocols

Special Position Requirements:

• Have no sensitivity to concentrated scents/ fragrance fumes
• Have no sensitivity to wood smoke
• Some heavy lifting (50 lbs. or less), walking, standing, stooping, bending
• Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work a 12 hr. shift schedule
• Overtime and weekends as needed

Experience and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED or one or more years related experience and/or training
