For over 60 years Lorne G. Seifert, LLC has been providing concrete construction services to general contractors and owners in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Our in-house capabilities have grown over the years with the ability to handle all aspects of a project from foundations, flatwork, exterior concrete to excavation and grading.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking experienced and driven Laser Screed Operators to become a part of our growing concrete business in Dillsburg, PA. Work is primarily in Central PA and surrounding areas.

Successful candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of operating experience and a strong work ethic and ability to learn.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Safely operates and maintains laser screed and high performance laser
• Sets and checks grade elevations
• Screeds concrete within spec and performs above standard
• Follows construction diagrams
• Performs pre-operations safety inspections
• Ability to take directions from site foreman to complete daily tasks and meet project goals
  
• Works closely with other crew members; in a fast-paced environment
• Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids
• Performs other labor duties as assigned by foreman or project manager
  
• Follows all company rules, regulations, policies and guidelines
  
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently and repetitively
  
• Operating experience; concrete experience is a plus
• Experience with 3D and total station set up is preferred
• Ability to perform a variety of manual physical tasks for extended periods; in all-weather climates
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Must be reliable and have the ability to work overtime as required
  
• Must pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
