The Primrose School of Twin Hickory is a family-owned, accredited private preschool located in Western Henrico County, near Short Pump. We are part of a national family of accredited schools serving infants through kindergarten, after-schoolers, their families and communities. With our Balanced Learning approach, we nurture curiosity, confidence, creativity and compassion. We are ready to expand our Toddler programs and have opportuntities for lead and support teachers in our Young Toddler (9 to 18 month) and Toddler (18-24 month) classrooms.

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive relationship with parents, children, and co-workers
- Maintain a positive, appropriately-structured environment while adhering to the classroom schedule
- Implement the approved lesson plans in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum
- Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
- Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create and explore
- Attend all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions, ensuring that training requirements are met or exceeded
- Observe all rules and regulations of the Primrose School at Westerre Commons and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children
- Ability to relate positively to young children
- Previous teaching experience in a public or private school, preschool or childcare center
- Knowledge of social, emotional and creative needs of young children
- Excellent communication skills
- Skills in time management with the ability to organize environment and prioritize work
- Certification or degree related to early childhood or elementary education is preferred
