Center For Family Services of Palm Beach County seeks a Lead Assessment Clinician to provide clinical services and oversight to our Partner's for Change- Recovery Care Coordination Program. This is a unique and dynamic position in an innovative substance use and mental health program in Palm Beach County focused on providing critically needed care coordination services to help individuals in the community who are seeking substance use and mental health services. The Lead Assessment Clinician helps individuals navigate the often complex system of care to help them achieve their goals through advocacy, guidance, clinically-sound recommendations, and support. Additionally, the Lead Assessment Clinician will help oversee the operations of the program, including a team of other assessors and care coordinators. This position will also work directly with the Palm Beach County Marchman Act Court, assisting individuals involved in these courts with treatment recommendations and referrals. Hours vary but are primarily between the hours of Monday- Friday 8am-6pm, one late night (until 8:15pm) required per week. Position will require some local travel to courts and/or treatment providers.

Salary starting at: $58,000

Employees are eligible for heathcare and other benefits no later than 30 days after hire; the Center provides multiple options for healthcare and other insurance, and funding sufficient to cover healthcare and, depending on options selected, additional insurance.

The Center provides 8 Paid Holidays as well as the week between Christmas Day through New Year's Eve; and additionally provides (on accrual basis) 3 PTO days, up to 9 days of sick leave, and initially 10 days of paid vacation for full-time employees. 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.

JOB TASKS (include but not limited to):

  • Use clinical judgement and evidence-based tools including ASAM Continuum and LOCUS to provide level of care recommendations for individuals seeking services.
  • Providing Care Coordination Services Utilize a broad knowledge of the system of care, providers in the community, and available services to provide care coordination services to individuals seeking services. This includes communicating directly with agencies in the community, initiating warm-handoffs, following up on receipt of services, providing assistance and cross-agency communication to ensure cohesive and effective service provision.
  • Complete funder and agency required trainings including, but not limited to DCF security awareness, HIPAA, Serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing Customers Modules 1-3, SEFBHN Civil Rights training, HIV/AIDS, Sexual Harassment in the workplace, Preventing violence in the workplace, Crisis Intervention and Emergency Procedures and CPR/First Aid.

  • Engagement and Participation in community-based advocacy meetings
  • Data management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Master's Degree in behavioral science or related field of study obtained from an Accredited College or University.
  • Professionally Licensed in the state of Florida by the Department of Health as a LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or Clinical Psychologist preferred
  • Experience working with community systems and/or legal systems, preferred
  • Bilingual, preferred
  • Able to pass a background check and fingerprinting through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
  • Able to legally work in the United States
