As a marketing communications lead you will be involved in the development and implementation of strategies, message and collateral to maintain and strengthen the internal and external perception of SkyWest. Strategy, execution and authenticity are imperative. You will also:
- Assist with development and execution of internal and external marketing communication strategies
- Help coordinate external marketing partnerships, including those in SkyWest communities and with school partners
- Help provide oversight for all SkyWest-branded materials, including collateral, corporate and employer branding, recruitment marketing, etc.
- Ensure consistency with SkyWest brand across all platforms
- Coordinate SkyWest’s social media presence, including social media guidelines
- Review and execute SkyWest Corporate Giving and Corporate Citizenship initiatives in alignment with the SkyWest brand and mission
- Support employee engagement efforts and our positive, team-focused culture
- Monitor competitive environment, with metrics, to continually improve SkyWest’s presence
- Utilize digital marketing and related tools to execute strategy
- Review and provide ongoing data and analytics for websites and campaigns
- Establish program measurement goals and continually evaluate results, adapting strategy as necessary
- Coordinate with Market Development to support community leaders, airport managers, media and major partners in SkyWest pro-rate markets
- Serve as media spokesperson and champion of SkyWest, and will rotate 24-hour on-call spokesperson responsibility
- Assist with special event planning
- Connect at all levels of the company and develop interdepartmental partnerships to stay current on developments, and to educate, inform and mobilize stakeholders.
- Speak in front of various groups of people, including SkyWest employees and external media
- Understand, develop and be prepared to execute SkyWest’s Corp Comm Emergency Response Plan
- Serve as project manager
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
- Demonstrated work experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with branding and marketing
- Knowledge and understanding of technology, new trends and the latest in social/mobile innovation
- Organized project manager with ability to think strategically and creatively and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and able to unite numerous interests for the greater SkyWest good
- Ability to identify public relations threats and opportunities and make quick decisions
- Ability to manage and lead several programs at once
- Ability to adapt and respond to fluid environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to travel, when required
- Ability to periodically stand, walk, and climb stairs
