Summary:
The Lead Material Handler is a key member of our NanoString Supply Chain team. The position is responsible for kitting and shipping of customer orders, inventory management, cycle counts, and receipt of goods. The role will also closely partner with several functions, key amongst are Sales Order Administration and Manufacturing. This position will be reporting into the Manager, Warehouse and Logistics.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in a warehouse environment, managing inventories, kitting customer orders, and shipping using an ERP (i.e Microsoft NAV)
- Team player with proven ability to work well under pressure and constant deadlines
- Logical and creative problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, especially Outlook and Excel
- Ability to quickly learn new skills, adaptable, and detailed oriented
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with and without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work independently and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the timely kitting and shipping of finished goods to internal, domestic, and international customers
- Proactively engage with kitting and shipping team members to identify and implement best practices.
- Perform in weekly cycle counts, reconciliation, and inventory accuracy to meet auditing standards (i.e. daily shipping reports and expired materials).
- Process sales order shipments related to inventory sign-out sheet within same day
- Provide internal and external customers with shipment notification and maintain documentation.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure compliance with all state, federal, environmental, safety, and hazardous waste regulations.
- Other duties and special project support as agreed with management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the biotech/life science industry and/or regulated environment
- Certification in powered industrial trucks (walkie-stacker, forklift)

Target Base Salary Range:
$65,000-$80,000
Base salary is an integral part of NanoString’s total compensation package. Base salary considers an individual’s skills, experience, and competitive market value. The base salary range represent what NanoString pays for a job within a salary grade based on external market data in comparison to similar positions from other companies in our industry. Employees generally enter a salary grade at the lower-to-mid-point in the range.
Other compensation elements include a discretionary annual bonus, incentive compensation for sales roles, Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grants for all new hires, comprehensive benefit plans and paid time off, including designated holidays
