Summary:
We're searching for a Lead Philanthropy Advisor, Foundation Relations - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for maximizing philanthropic support to Texas Children's from private foundation donors. This position will carry a full portfolio of foundation donors and donor prospects and be responsible for coordinating the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of these prospects. Responsible for devising and implementing a strategy for the cultivation and solicitation of "national foundations" including submission of proposals, appropriate stewardship, donor relations activities, and reporting while collaborating with leaders and advising on overall foundation fundraising strategy across the institution.

- Manages a portfolio of private foundation donors and prospect relationships.
- Maintains a portfolio of foundation donors and donor prospects, including the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of foundations with giving capacities of $100k+. This includes contact via email, phone calls and face-to-face visits to introduce foundation representatives to TCH projects and priorities.
- Works with leader to advise on foundation relations strategy and contribute to the development of the annual CFR fundraising plan.
- Develops and implements a plan for the particular cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of "national foundations," or those large-asset private grant making foundations that make significant contributions in areas of health, healthcare, and medicine/medical research.
- Works with TCH colleagues and leadership on interaction with assigned foundation donors and prospects, including meetings and events.
- Develops and writes proposals, as necessary, for foundation donor prospects.
- Collaborates with other Philanthropy colleagues and service line representatives to collect information for these purposes and ensure accuracy.
- Advises Donor Relations & Stewardship on development of reports to foundation donors, donor relations and recognition opportunities and reporting to others on historical performance.
- Helps lead the Foundation Relations function in the Office of Philanthropy.
- Manages the development and implementation of foundation relations strategies and programs.
- Represents Texas Children's Hospital in the community.
- Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
- Required bachelor's degree.
- Required 7 years of fundraising, foundation relations, grants and/or reporting experience.
