The Leave Administrator will report to the Senior Manager, HR Operations and will primarily be responsible for overseeing all leave requests and accommodations. This is a great opportunity to become part of a dynamic team committed to partnering with our teammates in their leave and/or accommodation requests. In this role, you will have the ability to work remotely. Our corporate office is located in White Plains, NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day leave programs (FMLA, Paid Family Leave, STD and LTD plans)
  • Coordinate Leave of Absence (FML, PFL, disability and ADA) requests and liaise with third part vendor on the administration.
  • Advises managers and teammates on leave eligibility, including how PTO, FMLA, STD and Paid Family leave work together.
  • Oversee the return-to-work process for teammates returning from FMLA, workers compensation or other leaves.
  • Facilitate other leave requests, which may include ADA accommodations.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records of leave requests in partnership with our third-party administrator.
  • Knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, PFL, and state and local laws.
  • Oversee COVID tracking for weekly testing and vaccine requirements for state/local requirements.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure all benefit workflows and processes are properly configured and documented, and work to identify areas of opportunity for systematic improvements and automations.
  • Provide back-up support to our Benefits Specialist and HR Operations team.
  • Lead special projects throughout the year in support of benefit and leave objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • 2-4 years of Leave experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the leave requirements for FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.


SKILLS:

  • Must be detail oriented, resourceful, responsive and be able to function in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft products including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Previous experience using HRIS system preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and see them through to completion.
  • Ability to problem solve and be resourceful.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
