As a Leave Manager in our Global Business Services office, you will supervise a team dedicated to administering leaves for employees in all parts of the business, including Supply Chain. You will serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of leaves of absence (LOA), lead various projects, and ensure compliance. You will also provide vendor support and guidance.

This position is mainly remote but based out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan location. Some travel will be required (up to 10%).


HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING


  • Family and Medical Leave Management - Serve as a subject matter expert for leave of absence (STD, LOA, FMLA, LTD, etc.) cases in partnership with Kellogg’s third-party administrator. Identify and contribute to projects designed to improve systems, processes and leave administration practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Human Resources Policies - Update and share knowledge on evolving policy and regulatory landscape. Use trend analysis to provide site HR leaders with legal and risk insights as appropriate.
  • Metrics and Reporting - Compile and share metrics to report progress and performance to leaders at the sites served by the Leave team.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS


  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state disability legislation and programs, including FMLA and state leave laws.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in benefits or leave administration, including ADA administration.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that allow the ability to interact effectively with all levels of team members. Ability to present to large groups both in person and virtually.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
