Position Summary:
COLORADO COLLEGE seeks to establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in Chemistry and Biochemistry from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. The position is responsible for teaching various courses for the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry; however, exact courses taught will depend on need at the time of hire. Most assignments will likely be for our introductory general chemistry (CH 107, CH 108), organic chemistry (CH 250, CH 251) and/or biochemistry (CH 382). However, there is potential to teach other courses based on the department's need. A full list of courses taught in our department can be found here. There is a possibility that selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a block-by-block basis. Please note that we will contact qualified individuals as needed to teach classes. This posting is to create a pool of applicants, should a need arise within the department.

The department fosters a supportive and inclusive learning community of faculty and students who share a passion for chemistry and biochemistry. We aim to provide a nurturing learning environment that stimulates growth and intellectual exploration. The department values both depth and breadth in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as potential for implementing innovative and inclusive teaching methods in a liberal arts setting.
