Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to maintain confidential information and work product

Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Microsoft Word; Excel; PowerPoint

Skills Required:

Ability to gain competency in software and other electronic systems used by the firm

Effective communication skills (written and oral)

Customer service mindset

Ability to work independently and assume ownership of tasks

Bookkeeping skills are not required but are helpful.

Physical Job Requirements:

Candidate must be able to lift up to 35 pounds, and to ascend and descend third floor internal staircase (office is on a 3rd floor office building).

Description of Position:

Positive, reliable & resourceful legal assistant sought by established local law firm, to support attorneys and to run and manage office. This is not a supervisory position but requires an individual who can assume responsibility for the day-to-day administration of our law office.

This position will provide full time administrative support and office management to two attorneys.

Candidate will have capacity to learn and function efficiently in a fast-paced law firm environment; to interact professionally with the public, judiciary and legal community; to learn electronic systems and enter data and information accurately in those systems as well as other varied job duties.

Schedule:

This is an at-will, hourly, regular full-time position. Position is currently 40 hours/week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; Some opportunity for flexible schedule.

Salary:

This is a salaried position of $44,000 per year.
