Summary/Objective:
The Lending Operations Collateral Specialist is a member of the Lending Operations Department and is responsible for management of loan files and corresponding loan collateral. This position collaborates effectively with members, internal departments, vendors, partners and government jurisdictions to complete collateral lien filings and releases for consumer and small business loans. Adheres to all governing Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Essential Functions include:
- Manages the maintenance and storage of digital and physical consumer and business documentation and credit files.
- Proactively contact and work with members, dealers, and tax office personnel as necessary.
- Manage payoff request process.
- Release recorded documents held for collateral.
- Works with other business lines to ensure accuracy of data and ensure lien perfection.
- Review of consumer loan documents and loan bookings processed by others for accuracy and completeness.
- Performs general problem solving using basic knowledge of loan types and processes
- Ensures account accuracy, proper storage of member information and adheres to privacy standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Provides knowledgeable, accurate, professional and personalized service with a positive attitude to all members, internal and external.
- Remains flexible and supportive as department needs arise.
- Adheres to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Required Education and Experience:
- Six months to two years of similar or related experience
- Equivalent to a two-year college degree or a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
- Data entry, ten key by touch, Word, Excel, Internet
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under time constraints and deadlines
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Work Environment:
Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Compensation:
The base pay of the budgeted range is $35,594.33 + annual bonus. The candidate's starting salary will be adjusted based upon his, her, or their experience.
