Overview
The purpose of this job is to issue and maintain all of the Letters of Credit for the entire Trustmark system as well as assist the International Banking Manager with all processes and procedures related to International products.
Responsibilities
- Cross-train, lead and develop team of associates to promote maximum productivity, engagement, succession planning and overall contribution to the strategic organizational goals.
- Issue, renew, and amend all types of Letters of Credit in manual environment.
- Assist lenders and their support staff with all matters relating to Letters of Credit.
- Provide training for new hires in the position of International /Letter of Credit Specialist and Sr. International/Letter of Credit Specialist.
- Perform all aspects of weekly, monthly and quarterly reconcilements for manual subsidiaries, BRIDGE Finance, loan system. Prepare all reports for letters of credit accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide backup for Manager and other staff during vacations and peak periods.
- Examine all documents presented for payment under all types of letters of credit, determine compliance and process payment.
- Create and release SWIFT messages
- Responsible for day-to-day coaching, training, cross-training and directing the workflow for department associates
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Junior college/two-year college training
- Minimum 15 years of Letter of Credit experience
- Knowledge of foreign currencies and exchange rates
- Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding Letters of Credit and foreign transactions
- Knowledge of commercial loans
- Knowledge of loan documentation
- Knowledge and complete understanding of UCP, ISP98, URC522, AML, OFAC
- Time management principles to prioritize workload
- Strong math skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Keyboard and calculator
- Oral and written communication skills
- Automation and merger experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
