IWCO Direct is seeking a Lettershop Trainer to join our high-growth, creative organization at its offices in Chanhassen, MN.

The Lettershop Trainer is responsible for training machine operators in all aspects of running equipment and specific work functions and accountabilities. Based on hiring volumes and/or need for follow-up training, the trainer will schedule on-the-job specific safety, quality and machine operation training on the production floor and in the classroom. The Trainer will record each participant’s progress against standard operating procedures and quality audits.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Training operators on Inserting, Bindery, Affixing and Commingling equipment.
  • Providing facility tour for new hires and properly identifying emergency exits, restrooms, safety procedures, incident response teams and other applicable areas.
  • Training new hires in the use of Foundation System.
  • Ensuring thorough understanding of job instructions, machine set ups, quality procedures, the importance of taking accurate measurements and operating equipment safely and effectively.
  • Following a training schedule, providing hands-on training and monitoring the daily performance of trainees to insure efficient operation of machinery and adherence of proper procedures.
  • Working with Quality Coordinators to audit and evaluate trainee’s quality performance.
  • Following all established safety procedures, taking precautions to avoid hazardous conditions.
  • Performing ergonomics audits to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Providing performance feedback to supervisors.
  • Conferring with supervisor if/when employees are not implementing the procedures and practices that they learned.
  • Contributing ideas and/or suggestions to improve training process on all applicable machine operations to assure efficiency, quality and safety standards are met.
  • Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check required.
