Job Summary
The Outreach Coordinator provides outreach and instructional services to University of Kentucky students and faculty and staff in the form of evening programs, drop-in classes, events and other special initiatives. This position also manages the UK Libraries Ambassador Program & helps coordinate the UK Libraries Peer Mentor Program. The Outreach Coordinator meets regularly with library units to discuss outreach/engagement objectives and implement plans to meet them. This position liaises to existing student supports and programs such as New Student and Family Programs, Residence Life, First Generation, Transformative Learning, & LGBTQ* Resources. This position will also assist library patrons with in-person phone, email, and chat reference inquiries; referring questions and monitoring help desk students. This position also works with the Marketing team to create and implement marketing campaigns for UK Libraries in addition to assisting with UK Libraries social media.
