Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the upcoming school year in Claremont, NH. This is a full-time position with assignment dates fromSeptember 6, 2023, to June 13, 2024.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Work Setting: Supporting students with special education needs as part of a team in a life skills program, working 1:1 with medically fragile students, and occasionally small groups
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and support to students with special education needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures as required
- Monitor students' health and respond to medical emergencies
- Assist in the management of students' medical records and documentation
- Support students' independence and participation in educational activities
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of New Hampshire
- Experience working with individuals with special needs (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical procedures, protocols, and best practices
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
