LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN/LVN)– FLIGHT MEDICINE

SITE OF SERVICE:

  • Mountain Home AFB, ID
  • Full-time

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree: Certificate.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Experience: Experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment.

Properly administering oral and parenteral medications; conducting paraprofessional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols, within the LPN scope of practice.

  • Licensure: Must have and maintain throughout course of contract, a current, active, valid, unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from a US jurisdiction.
  • U.S. Citizenship: Individuals performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
  • Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract and TO.

HOURS:

  • Be scheduled to work between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a one hour lunch period.
  • Contractor will not exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Contractor will not be required to work on Family Days or Down Days declared by the Wing CC

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
