Valley Ranch Pet Clinic is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technichian who shares our passion for pets and their families. We are proud to have been awarded “Best of the Best Veterinary Clinics in Irving.” We focus on work/life balance with no on-call duties.

We are a full-service general practice that offers a wide variety of medical, surgical, and dental services, focusing on rehabilitation. We pride ourselves on having a positive team environment. We also have experienced licensed support staff, outstanding assistants, a strong practice manager to provide additional support to complement our doctors. We have proudly been serving the Irving community since 1989.

We offer a modern, spacious working area, five exam rooms, a large treatment area, an in-house laboratory, digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, endoscopy, and cold laser therapy. We also offer regenerative medicine and rehabilitation therapy. We are open to adding acupuncture and chiropractic medicine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting
• Veterinary Technician Certification or License (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) highly preferred or valid LVT credentials in Texas or pending credentials within 6-8 months
• Professional appearance required; scrubs are always to be worn
• Assist in animal restraint
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Ability to work on your feet all-day

Responsibilities:

• Proficient in phlebotomy, setting catheters, administration of IV fluids
• Perform timely and quality full body/DNT radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by DVM staff
• Excellent communication skills with the staff and clients in a friendly, approachable manner
• Able to obtain and record communication in a clear, and detailed information inpatient.
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history. Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque, calculus)
• Provide clients with clear post-operative instructions
