We are currently seeking a caring and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our per diem medical staffing team and in-home care at locations throughout Conejo and Simi Valley. We are an independently and locally owned company, who believes in Serving with Passion and Doing the Right Thing. We have several clients that need shifts covered, especially NOC shifts. Shifts and locations vary. Take as little or as many shifts as you desire. Flexibility is one of the benefits of joining our team, among other benefits.

We are currently in need of highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for our client in Conejo and Simi Valley. We cover a territory from Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Malibu, and Port Hueneme.

Experience with the following is a PLUS:

• Adult Tracheostomy Care and G-tube care
• Suctioning, changing Trach cannula and ties.
• G-tube feedings with medication administration via gravity and or pump
• Experienced with ventilators
• Knowledgeable about handling patients with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease

Responsibilities of Licensed Vocational Nurse:

• Implement plan of care and treatment using sound judgment and critical thinking
• Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing process
• Prepare, administer, and appropriately document the actions taken specific to the commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications. Observe, report, and record adverse reactions to medications and/or treatment to the registered nurse
• Perform wound care and recognize the need for and institute emergency measures in a rapid and appropriate manner
• Perform all skill, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act in the state of clinical practice and adheres to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency
• Treat clients, family, and staff with courtesy and respect

Requirements for Licensed Vocational Nurse:

• Graduated from an accredited practical or vocational school of nursing
• Unencumbered license as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in the state that care is being provided
• One (1) year of nursing experience required; three (3) years preferred.
• Certified CPR and demonstrate strong clinical skills
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
