SCOPE

Provides support to the in-house Licensing & Permit Team, as well as communicates and follows up with operations, management, internal business partners, merchants, external licensing partners and various government agencies.


Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

Assists in monitoring business activities for compliance when regulations change, supports departments and company strategies to ensure compliance with State, County and Local Agencies.


Proactively prepares and collects documentation for submittal to various Agencies. Processes Licenses and Permit application renewals and new applications in a timely manner. Ensures compliance and adherence to State, County and Local regulations. Performs day to day duties for licensing. Assists with special projects for the department.


  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Researches and communicates the status of permits to business partners
  • Assists in managing store and employee license requirements
  • Maintain licenses in the company system of record
  • Own the oversight of licensing application process for multiple operational sites to meet internal/external deadlines
  • Communicates effectively with various government agencies
  • Tracks compliance and adherence to all contractual and regulatory requirements for all licensing and permits
  • Ongoing improvement in data maintenance within the licensing team
  • Foster internal and external relationships to optimize business
  • Support licensing team as a contact for all internal teams; including finance, operations, HR, legal, all merchants and clerical staff
  • Create and follow through on status updates for assigned licensing projects
  • Communicate with internal and external teams
  • Track and process licensure renewals and update internal records
  • Digital document management
  • Answer company phones by covering the reception desk, when required
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Experience: Minimum of two (2) years related experience in compliance, regulatory-government regulations, preferably with direct experience dealing with interpreting complex local, county and state regulations.
  • Ability to understand and present information effectively and respond accurately to questions from internal business partners, outside agencies, external business partners and Management.
  • Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience working in Government or have worked with various Government Agencies
  • High School Diploma is required, Associate degree from an U.S. accredited Community College is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, including timely follow-up in expediting exceptions.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent data entry skills are a must.
  • Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and complete projects with effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; solid verbal and written communicator.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to 10 pounds.
