Era Living is seeking a full-time Life Enrichment Director to become the newest member of our Life Enrichment team at Ida Culver House Ravenna, Seattle, WA.

Primary Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Life Enrichment department. You will manage a team of recreation activity professionals, design, facilitate, and provide a comprehensive activity program that meets the needs and preferences of all residents and enhances their whole lives interacting with our residents on a dally-basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to design creative programs for persons at all levels of clinical and cognitive skill levels; Experience leading group activities and fitness programs
• Computer proficiency: able to use a variety of programs including Word, Outlook, Publisher, and Excel
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Possess and maintain a valid WA State Driver License and driving record compliant with Era Living Qualified and Authorized Drivers policy
• Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
• Must comply with the Washington State COVID-19 vaccination requirement for healthcare workers

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation or CTRD, preferred
• Valid WA State Driver License, required
• Previous experience working with older adults, preferred
• First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
• Washington State Alcohol Permit or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Complete Caregiver Dementia and Caregiver Mental Health training within 120 days of hire
• Must complete 70 hour course to earn a long term care aide certificate within 120 days of hire
• ** Not required if worked in boarding home setting in 2011
