Provides business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and applications for a business function or business unit.
Equitable’s Individual Life Inforce Product and Financial Management team is seeking a strategic minded, highly motivated, self-starter with experience in statistical analysis and strong communication skills. Associate will collaborate cross-functionally with other areas of the Individual Life Business Unit to analyze data and pro-actively help monitor and manage the life business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for data mining, analysis, reporting, modeling, and using existing corporate models and software to enhance the understanding of life product performance, particularly focusing on sales activities and trends.
- Create and manage databases, develop and write report specifications, and utilize other data collection tools to develop and construct operational reports for management.
- Responsible for review and tracking of new business illustrations and policy transaction data to ensure they align with our product pricing and underwriting expectations, and to identify trends in producer sales behavior and client transaction patterns.
- Interpret results to ensure accuracy and provide analysis of data inconsistencies with recommendations for resolution.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to a variety of audiences.

Other qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and/or Computer Science
- 1+ Years’ experience Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- 1+ Years’ experience SQL, Hadoop, Python (or other language)
- Knowledge of Life Insurance preferred
- 1+ Years’ experience Data analysis and/or predictive model application preferred
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a demanding environment
