Traditional Mexican fare, with delicious classic tacos at its core, flavored with the unexpected in our dining and cocktail programs. We let our imagination surprise-and-delight our guests with unexpected items from our carrot margarita, elk tacos or vegetarian kimchi rice burritos. Located in the heart of the new pedestrian-only block on 7th, between Grant St. and Sherman St. our lively outdoor patio is as much of the experience as out indoor dining room, featuring community high tops perfect for socializing. Wild Taco is the fun, casual and memorable Mexican food neighborhood go-to.

We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

- Full Time and Part Time positions available

- Must have flexibility to work days, nights and weekends

- $16.00 per hour minimum + tips

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
