What will you do?
The Line Cook will prepare and cook food according to the menu for hotel outlets, i.e., room service, restaurants, bar, banquets, etc. Duties include :
- Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
- Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
- Cook items as ordered by each customer
- Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles
- Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
- Clean, stock, and restock workstations
What skills will help you in this role?
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably high volume preferred
- Ability to multitask and work on several different orders at once is helpful
- Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
- Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
