JOB DESCRIPTION

Human annotated data is a key factor in developing state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence models. This data empowers our ML/AI systems to be transformative technologies that have the potential to positively influence the daily lives of our users. Our machine learning data annotation team is expanding, and we’re looking for people who are excellent detail-oriented individuals who can work with our research scientists to deliver high-quality data. Technical/Functional Skills:

• Experience as a data annotator, writer, or editor

• Familiarity with machine learning data annotation practices

• Familiarity with machine learning model training and evaluation

• Experience with business productivity tools like Microsoft Office

• Programming experience, particularly in Python

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in linguistics and closely related field

• Fluent speaker of English (preferably North American) but not necessarily natively fluent

• Ability to understand and apply detailed editing and data annotation guidelines

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while paying constant close attention to detail and deliver accurate and precise work

• Ability to be a good team player and communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds

• Ability to work independently including managing your schedule, attending all required meetings, and completing projects within a deadline

• Ability to work remotely in a distraction-free workspace

• Reliable internet connection and computer

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Perform US English (en-US) writing and editing tasks, which include but are not limited to:

• Annotating, reviewing, and validating datasets for natural language processing/machine learning (NLP/ML) training and evaluation

• Writing paraphrased versions of text samples in a highly specific manner according to tone, manner of speech, complexity, and many other factors

• Editing text to correct grammar and fluency/naturalness

• Interact with the research team to understand highly specific annotation, style, and editing requirements

• Gain in-depth knowledge of complex product features

• Perform tasks related to data annotation which may include writing task guidelines, documentation, etc.

• Keep project managers informed of platform enhancement ideas, risks, and issues

Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
