Job description
A nonprofit organization which provides educational services to disadvantaged adults 16 and over in Basic Literacy, HiSet preparation, and English as a second language. We also provide services in numeracy, financial growth and math test preparation. We have passionate, loyal and empathetic adults who wish to make a difference in lives in our community, young and old, no matter their social economic background, barriers to education, or educational background. WE tutor in all core areas, science, social studies, math, and literacy. We also provide digital literacy and employment preparation skills.
Member Duties : Analyze pre test scores, create plans and goals with students and reading specialist, provided on on one tutoring with clients-both in person and on line-, and give post tests Members will be required to completed daily lesson logs, monthly reports, and have basic compuer skills. Member must be able to write and read in English as well as complete numeracy and problem s olving skills. All training and materials will be provided. All members must be able to drive to and from work and be willing to complete service opportunities and AmeriCorps days of service.
