GDT has an excellent contract opportunity for a personable, hardworking and professional, Logistics Associate to join our exceptional logistics team located in our Dallas office. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. The ability to deliver exceptional customer service and work proactively in a fast-paced environment will be the key to your success!
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Unload incoming delivery trucks.
- Preparing outgoing products for shipping.
- Scheduling pickups with various carriers.
- Order picking and packing
- Take pride in keeping the warehouse clean and presentable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Flexible, team player willing to help at different positions within the warehouse as needed
- Excellent ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail is crucial
- Physically able to lift a box weighing 50lbs.
- Familiar with FedEx ship manager.
- International shipping experience a plus, but not essential.
- Computer literate. SAP experience is a huge plus, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- RF gun and forklift operations experience.
- Experience in shipment preparation i.e. packing boxes and preparing freight
- Will be required to help keep the warehouse clean and presentable.
Working Conditions/Essential Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
