Logistics Coordinator

Position Title: Logistics Coordinator

Type/Hours: Full Time/40 hours/week

Reports to: Asst. VP of Marine Operations

Salary: $50-60K

POSITION SUMMARY

Established company in the maritime industry has opening for bright and motivated team member to coordinate logistics of marine cargo movements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITY

· Tracking the loading, movement, and unloading of cargoes on barges and ships from origin to final destination

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Graduate; college experience preferred

· Experience in the transportation, maritime and/or logistics industry a plus.

· Detail-oriented and organized

· Initiative, self-motivated; relentless follow-up

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment

· Critical thinking, problem solver

· Trustworthy and dependable

· Strong written and oral communication skills,

· Ability to work and think under some pressure

· Openness to follow/take direction

· Strong working knowledge/proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Occasional on-call weekends and after-hours calls.

· Ability to pass physical and drug screen required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
