LightEdison is searching for a full-time Logistics Coordinator to support a fast-growing pipeline of LED lighting conversion projects, commercial solar projects, energy storage projects and electric vehicle charging projects.

LightEdison is a development services provider, development capital investor and EPC contractor with a focus on clean energy infrastructure projects, including LED lighting, solar and energy storage. We are deeply involved in the legal, engineering, permitting, finance, construction and operation aspects of the projects we work on, and hold the Electrical Contractor licenses in the states we operate, and beyond. We are currently hiring for the following position:

Logistics Coordinator
Roles & Accountabilities

  • Coordinating the movement of people, products and equipment as needed
  • Maintaining responsibility for the Company schedule using MS Project
  • Tracking progress, procurement and task within G-Sheets and our company app
  • Collaborating with Operations Directors and project managers to determine yearly Logistics goals and objectives
  • Ensuring Logistics goals are being met
  • Delighting our customers with prompt attention to their requests
  • Assisting with creating Logistics innovations, assisting with quantifying Logistics innovations and assisting with the orchestration of multiple projects Logistics
  • Assisting with developing and continuously improving Logistics standard operating procedures
  • Developing, continuously improving and completing work in accordance with Company-wide and position-specific standard operating procedures
  • Coordinating critical trucking paths for incoming shipments
  • Site visits on an as-needed basis
  • Composing, reaching out to on a regular basis, and tracking vendors and their shipments for timely deliveries and quality pricing

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred, but candidates with confirmed experience in this field will also be considered

Required Competencies

  • Creating and issuing Purchase Orders in close coordination with Project Managers, within our company app
  • Updating Company product databases with up to date Product information
  • Tracking product shipments, including carriers, tracking numbers, receipt locations and damage
  • Coordinating product returns
  • Arranging people travel logistics, including airfare, rental cars, lodging and other Company staff related coordination
  • Working closely with Finance Division and Project Managers to insure that people, product and equipment logistic costs are within budget
  • Working closely with Project Managers to arrange for the ordering, delivery, service and pick-up of Company-owned and rental equipment
  • Using MS Project to keep the Company schedules up to date
  • Overseeing inventory of goods and vehicles
  • Reviewing freight costs, transportation rates and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible
  • Streamlining shipping and transportation processes
