Position Overview

The Logistics Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the performance of our warehouse and shipping partners exceed the expectations of our customers and result in the on-time shipping and delivery of tires purchased from SimpleTire.

As the Logistics Coordinator, your essential job functions will include the following:

  • Administer the day-to-day tactical interactions with our warehouse and shipping partners within an assigned territory (zone).
  • Work closely with key contacts for both the warehouse and the shipping partners, to ensure strict adherence to proper procedures.
  • Identify and act on ideas for process improvement both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate across the Supply Chain organization to provide solutions for customers, suppliers, and carriers.
  • Improve On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics of assigned partners within territory to >95%.
  • Identify and act upon warehouse or carrier failures to bring positive outcomes or adjudication via claims processes.
  • Work closely with the Transportation Manager to ensure carriers are exceeding service-level agreements.
  • Leverage superior communication and analytical skills to identify and act upon performance trends.

In all categories, will perform miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED or higher
  • At least 1 year of experience directly related to the responsibilities specified.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Able to manage several tasks simultaneously to timely completion
  • Solid collaboration skills - able to influence outcomes and bring initiatives to successful completion
  • Technical savvy - able to navigate systems and programs swiftly and accurately
  • Analytical mindset - able to take data and find information within. Experience using Excel is a great to have
  • Comfortable spending significant time on the phone
  • Detail-oriented
  • Comfort and flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Continuous computer screen viewing and typing
  • Talking through the computer for many meetings and one-to-one conversations
